Golden Thyme Coffee & Cafe Review

Over the weekend, I decide to take a quick jaunt to St.Paul to check out a black owned coffee shop called Golden Thyme Coffee & Cafe. I hate to admit it, but this was this first time visiting in it's sixteen year existence. Since it's Black History Month, I really wanted to make an effort to support this black owned business.

The first thing I noticed was all the African American decor. Black statutes and artwork filled the shop which was a pleasant change of scenery.

There was a relaxed vibe in this coffee shop. That Saturday morning let-me-head-down-to-the-coffee-shop kind of feel. I listened as they happily greeted their customers by name. You just don't see that nowadays.

And the customer service? Well let's just say I'm a big on customer service and it was A1! Everyone was nice and treated me well.

You might be asking, "But how was your coffee?" Absolutely delicious! Nice and sweet like I like it. I will definitely be back!

They even have a place for meetings and such. Every Thursday from 7pm-8:30pm they host a Spoken Word event for the youth in the area. Oh, and I can't forget about the annual Jazz Festival they host every year. Stay tuned for more info about that in the future.
