Happy Martin Luther King Day! Most of us will have a long weekend, but while you're out getting your MLK Day sales, be sure to really remember the reason for the holiday.

Martin Luther King Day Events
*31st annual state of the Minnesota governor's council MLK day celebration. From 9 AM to 12 PM participate in the youth rally and March at the Minnesota State Capitol. A musical celebration featuring Grammy award winning the sounds of blackness at the Ordway center.

*Martin Luther King Junior Day celebration. This family event celebrates free entertainment activities and lunch from 11am to 2pm. Powderhorn Community Center.
*MLK convocation Nekima Levy Pounds Will deliver the keynote address what's the theme of renewing Dr. King's dream for justice. Free for more details visit WWW.com Augsburg.edu/convo/mlk.
*Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King Junior celebration a keynote presentation by touches Harris professor of American studies at McAllister as well as live entertainment by Michael DeCole and Jovanta Patton. Free.
*Also, on Martin Luther King Day, National Parks will offer free admission so be sure to bring the whole family to enjoy some winter fun!
